Parade of the Years…Plans underway for Homecoming 2005
Date: July 2005Parade of the Years, a tradition occurring every five years, marks the return of each class to the Southeast campus. Class and decade chairs have been selected to help in the planning of this celebratory reunion for all classes.
Recognition of the classes will begin at the All Alumni Breakfast, on Saturday, October 29, at the Student Recreation Center—South Campus, and will continue that day during the Homecoming Parade.
The parade will feature floats commemorating each decade and a special float carrying former Sagamore, Football and Varsity Queens and past Men and Women of the Years recipients. Decade and class chairs will also participate, as decade chairs lead class chairs in the march down Broadway.
Other reunion events on Saturday will include the “Party on the Patio” for 1990s graduates from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. and the Class of 1955 Luncheon at noon in the Show Me Center. At 4 p.m., a host of other reunions events will occur. These include the Post-Game Party for 50s and 60s graduates and the Knox Teams Reunion, both to be held at the Show Me Center, and the Post-Game “Celebrations” Party for ‘70s graduates, to be held at the KFVS Tower on Broadway.
