Shine Light on Sexual Assault 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
“Shine Light on Sexual Assault 5K Run/1 Mile Walk” -4/18/2013
This 5K/Fun Run is being held in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Our purpose is to generate awareness about sexual assault, as well as to inform students and community members about the resources available in our area. Proceeds will go to the Beacon Health Center; Beacon provides counseling, forensic interviews, medical exams, advocacy, and case management services to victims of sexual assaults.
The 5K will have a glow-in-the-dark theme and will be held on April 18th, 2013. Check-in begins at 6 pm at the Innovation Center parking lot, located on the corner of Broadway and Pacific. The race will start at 7:30 pm. Visit http://cstl.semo.edu/victory/class/ to print a registration form and check out the 5K and 1 Mile routes.
The fee is $15 per participant or $5 with a SEMO student ID. Register by March 29th to be guaranteed a t-shirt and glow-in-the-dark items!
