Counseling Programs Clinical
Sequence
It is strongly recommended that once a
student begin the Counseling Program’s Clinical Sequence that he or she
completes the courses in order, without breaks. The student is required to take
prerequisite courses before beginning the clinical sequence. (CP610 must be
completed before, CP612 can be concurrent with CP614). The student is welcome
to take additional coursework (one or two classes a semester) while he or she is
in the clinical sequence (CP611, CP613, CP615, CP617, GR691, CP630, CP631,
CP640, CP643, GR691 and electives). The student should plan a program so that
the student is eligible for graduation at the end of the clinical sequence.
Therefore if a student only wishes to take one or two classes a semester then
the student should delay taking CP614, which starts the sequence, and take the
coursework first. It is not recommended that a student break up the clinical
sequence.
