Vision Plan Rates

For calendar year 2009, two vision plans are available to you and your dependents through Vision Service Plan (VSP) which can be located on the web at http://www.vsp.com . The first plan is called "Exam Plus Plan (Plan A)" and it pays for one annual eye examination. When you use a VSP network provider, you pay a $10 co-payment and receive a discount from this provider on eyewear. The second plan is called "The Standard Enhanced High Option (Plan B)." This plan pays for an annual eye examination and provides a $120 allowance every other plan year for frames or contact lenses with evaluation exam.

Enhancements to Vision Signature Plan B

Effective July 1, 2009, VSP has made coverage enhancements to the Standard Enhanced High Option Plan B at no additional cost to you. These changes include:

30% off unlimited additional pairs of prescription glasses when purchased the same day as the member’s eye exam from the same VSP doctor who provided the exam
30% off unlimited non-prescription sunglasses when purchased the same day as the member’s eye exam from the same VSP doctor who provided the exam
New and current contact lens wearers may be eligible for a covered in full contact lens evaluation and initial supply of approved lenses
