The Project
Coordinator plans, coordinates and participates in a variety of activities and
services to assist victims of sexual assault and to promote awareness,
education and prevention training.
Additionally, the Project Coordinator serves as a resource for victims
of sexual assault and their families.
Primary Responsibilities
·
Coordinates
academic, educational and support programs for women victims of violence
·
Serves
as a liaison between university departments and violence against women resource
groups
·
Plans,
coordinates and executes activities and services to assist victims of sexual
assault
·
Provides
information concerning community agencies and university support services to
victims
·
Develops
training programs for faculty, staff and various student groups to promote
educational awareness, prevention and support for victims of assault
·
Coordinates
educational programs and activities with various university departments and
student groups
·
Designs
pamphlets, brochures, videos and other related publications
·
Collaborates
with Project Director to prepare various reports and analyses for appropriate
recommendations or conclusions
·
Develops
and maintains project webpage
Required Qualifications
·
Significant
progress towards completing a master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher
Education Administration, Counseling, Administration or related field
·
Experience
in coordinating educational activities and services promoting sexual assault
awareness and prevention
·
Demonstrable
ability to use innovative approaches to problem solving
·
Excellent
organizational skills
·
Excellent
interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
·
Proficient
computer skills
·
Experience
developing web pages
·
Ability
to initiate and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff,
family members and external constituents in a multi-cultural environment
·
Demonstrated
experience and understanding of customer service
·
Demonstrated
commitment to working with multi-cultural populations and awareness of issues
affecting women and minorities
Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience. In addition, the University provides an
