Welcome to the
Political Science section of the Department of
Political Science, Philosophy, and Religion at Southeast Missouri
State University.
We are nine accomplished teacher-scholar political
scientists representing all of the major fields of the discipline:
American Government, Comparative Government,
International Politics, Political Theory, and Public Administration. We
offer both the Bachelor of Arts and
Bachelor of Science degrees at the
undergraduate level. See Courses for
current and past undergraduate courses offered by us.
At the graduate level, see Master of Public Administration
plus our listing of Graduate Courses.
We provide campus-wide advising for pre-law students. The
Pre-Law Program page is maintained by Pre-Law Advisor Brian Smentkowski.
We are very involved in student affairs. The faculty actively
advise a variety of diverse clubs and organizations, and all participate in
sponsored forums, campus-community events, and outreach service. We
sponsor several Organizations, including
Model United Nations and the Iota Rho Chapter of Pi Sigma
Alpha. We regularly conduct campus forums on
political events of note; see Political Science
Events for current actions.
To see and learn about each of us, see the Faculty
page.
We are located at Carnahan 211, a suite of offices on the second floor of Carnahan
Hall. Our Administrative Assistant is

is at Carnahan Hall 211B, accessed via the right-side door from the front
