  February:

 

·         2/1/2012 Wednesday at 12:00pm in Room 410 First Members Meeting

o   Anyone interested in Psi Chi and the events planned for the Spring semester are invited to attend, pizza will be provided

 

·         2/8/2012 Wednesday at 12:00pm in Room 410: SRC Meeting

o   All Psi Chi members, SRC organizers and anyone interested in helping out with this year’s annual Student Research Conference should attend this meeting to vote on this year’s art for posters and flyers

 

·         2/29/2012 Wednesday at 12:00pm (location TBA): Get to know your faculty members

o   Ever wondered what kind of research your faculty members at Southeast are interested in? Or maybe you would like to know which faculty member has interest in the same areas as you? This meeting will hopefully help students get to know their faculty members better or maybe help them choose a mentor for research

  March :

·         3/5/2012 Monday: Multiple Personalities Day

o   Psi Chi will hopefully be handing out pamphlets with information on dissociative identity disorders (myths vs. facts)

 

·         3/11/2012 to 3/16/2012: Spring Break

 

·         3/21/2012: Wednesday- Campus Wide Career Internship Fair: UC Ballroom 11am-2pm

 

·         3/26/2012: This week those eligible for Psi Chi should be notified via letters passed out in Psychology classes. The membership forms and fee should be turned in by April 9th. If there are any questions about the forms, fees or eligibility, please see Dr. Atwood.

 

 April:

  • ·         4/4/2012 Wednesday at 12:00pm in Room 410: Graduate School Panel Meeting

    o   Psi Chi member meeting and an opportunity for anyone interested in the process of applying to graduate school, acceptance and what it is like. We are hoping to have a panel of people who may provide insight into what it costs to apply, what things are necessary to apply, how to get good letters of recommendation, what graduate acceptance boards are looking for, what it is like to be in a graduate program and what it is like to have earned a PhD or PsyD

     

    ·         4/9/2012 Monday: New member’s forms are due today!

     

    ·         4/11/2012 Wednesday at 12:00pm in Room 410, Psi Chi officers will vote on new members and discuss the Picnic and elections

     

    ·         4/18/2012 to 4/19/2012 20th Annual Student Research Conference; UC Ballroom!

     

    ·         4/25/2012 Wednesday at 12:00pm outside of the Scully Café will be the annual End of the Year Psi Chi Picnic for faculty and current members and inductees; The election for new officers for Fall 2012 will be held, promptly followed by ice cream bars!

     

    ·        

    Sunday, April 29th is our Spring 2012 Induction Ceremony:

    ·         It will be at 3pm at the Family Life Center, and “light refreshments” will be served (cake, cookies, drinks) Again, if any of you cannot be there I need to know so we can adjust the ceremony. Feel free to invite spouses, family, friends, etc., but include them in the RSVP

     

 

  May:

  • MPA Conference in Chicago, 2nd -4th

  • Finals Week 7th-10th
