The Department of Recreation Services is proud to announce “Southeast Day at Holiday World” on Saturday, July 12, for families of faculty, staff and students. Holiday World (located in Santa Claus, Ind. – about 3.5 hours from Cape Girardeau and about 35 miles east of Evansville, Ind.) is one of the highest rated amusement parks in the country and has one of the highest rated water parks in the world. Register now through Monday, July 7, at 4 p.m. for advance tickets in the Department of Recreation Services main business office in the Student Recreation Center-North, Room 101. Tickets are $27 per person, and children 2 and under are free. (Normal ticket prices are $39.95 per person.) Patrons must provide their own transportation to the park. Second day discounts are available and park information is available in the Department of Recreation Services main business office. There must be a minimum of 15 patrons to receive this rate. If 15 are not registered by July 7, a full refund will be given to those who registered. All ticket purchases are non-refundable. Tickets will be available at the main gate at Holiday World starting at 9:30 a.m. (when the park opens). You will need to provide a photo ID to claim your pre-ordered tickets at the park office upon arrival.
