When a student who is blind or visually impaired enters school it is often the first time that a school district has worked with a student with this type of disability.  Jennifer can assist your school district in developing an educational program, and will work with your teachers and staff members so they understand the unique curricular needs of a student with a visual impairment.

The services do not include direct teaching or assessments of students who are blind, but do include a variety of support services for Southeast Missouri school districts.  The Blindness Skills program is designed to assist school districts in providing quality educational services to students who are visually impaired through professional development opportunities, awareness sessions, demonstration of teaching techniques or instructional strategies, and dissemination of information
