Tiffiney Smith Tiffiney Smith is a 10 year veteran of the special ed. department of the Jackson R-2 School District, having taught cross categorical students grades 3-5. She has expertise in designing individualized education plans to suit a wide variety of student needs. She has a B.S. degree in Exceptional Child Education as well as a Masters degree in Special Education. She has also completed Southeast MO University’s certification process to become a licensed Psychometric Examiner. Tiffiney looks forward to helping teachers across the region improve their instructional design and strategies. Tiffiney is a native of Jackson and currently resides in Jackson with her husband Matt. |
Debora Lintner Debora Lintner will be working in the RPDC this year as a STARR teacher. After graduating from Southeast Missouri State University, she taught in Hampton, Iowa for 17 years. Upon returning to Jackson, Missouri, she completed her master’s degree from Webster University and has taught in the Jackson R-2 School System for 11 years. Some of her accomplishments include receiving the KIMT Teacher of the Year award and the Jackson Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year award. She is looking forward to working with schools in the Southeast Region to increase student achievement using brain-based strategies. |

Pam Lowe 2007 - 2008 STARR teacher, Pam Lowe has been an educator in Poplar Bluff for 13 years. She is a FY00 eMINTS teacher and author of the book, Missouri Then & Now: Activity Book published by the University of Missouri Press. She is also the author of online articles concerning technology and education. She currently serves on the National Advisory Board for MacMillan Mathematics. She is an online professional development facilitator for Missouri's eLearning for Educators. Pam has served on the MAP Achievement Level Setting Committee for Fourth Grade Communication Arts, as well as Governor Blunt's 2006 Math and Science Summit. She has served as a MAP Class 10 Leader for the Poplar Bluff School District for three years, MAP Table Leader for In-State Scoring in Third Grade Communication Arts and MAP Mathematics Item Content Validity Review Committee. Her achievements include: Poplar Bluff R-1 District Teacher of the Year: 2004 - 2005, O’Neal Elementary Teacher of the Year: 2004 - 2005 & 1998 - 1999, and Technology & Learning’s Leader of the Year 2005 Semi-Finalist. A few of her web awards are: Center for Digital Education’s Best of the Web Award 2005, USA Today Education "Best Bet" in Education Award, Golden Web Award 2002 - 2004, Eduhound Feature and Education World: Web Wizard. She has presented technology and MAP workshops for school districts as well as technology conferences. She is excited about the opportunity to assist schools in our region in promoting all aspects of education and learning. |
