• Biographic Information:

  • I was born in Paris, Texas on November 24, 1950.
  • I am the 3rd of 4 children (2 older sisters and one younger sister).
  • I am married to the most wonderful person in the world:  
    Dr. Georgette Johnson, clinical psychologist.

• Personal Interests:

  • Tennis-- this is a life long interest for me and I am still learning. Someday I may be able to play.
  • Golf-- During the summer of 1996 I began to learn to play golf. My spouse--who already plays--and I look forward to playing golf for many years in the future.   Someday I will score less than 100!  May 1999 is when I holed-out for the first time (with a witness)!
  • The Psychology of Cats-- My spouse and I have 3 wonderful, sweet kitty cats [Fritz-the lion kitty, Adwee-the tiny black and white kitty cat, and Frosty-the sweet kitty who bites our other cats].

• Research Interests:

  I am interested in the psychology of personality, and am especially interested in the relationship between personality tendencies and people's intimate and sexual relationships. Most of my work addresses the sexual and intimate aspects of the self-concept. You can find out more about my research by looking at my vita.
