Who Are We?

The Interfraternity Council serves as the governing body of the entire fraternal system.  IFC is led by seven elected, executive officers.  The voting membership is composed of two members from each of the individual chapters.  IFC is proud to be one of the driving forces behind Southeast's strong tradition of Greek excellence, providing leadership opportunities within the Greek system and University as a whole.

Perhaps the most important aspect of fraternity life is that it serves as a home away from home, which makes the initial adjustment to college easier.  Your new brothers share your success and failures, as well as your joys and frustrations.  The friendships you make in your fraternity last forever.

Our Mission Statement

We the men of the Interfraternity Council at Southeast Missouri State University strive to better the university environment through motivated and ethical leadership; promote and maintain high scholastic achievement; provide a unified and representative body to promote interfraternalism; lead by example through moral and principled decision-making; provide each member of the Greek community with the skills and opportunities to be an effective campus leader; and hold ourselves accountable for the well-being of the Greek system.

We intend to accomplish these fraternal objectives by:

►Serving as a representative body that encourages community and that values free and open communication among equal members.
►Expecting fraternity men and chapters to be academically successful and by providing opportunities to meet individual and chapter potential.
►Expecting that fraternity men will serve as campus leaders and by providing opportunities for leadership development.
►Having a mutual respect and accountability between member chapters and elected Interfraternity Council Officers.
►Recognizing that Greek organization members are a part of and should serve and respect, the larger University and local communities.
►Developing, utilizing, and enforcing rules, standards, and guidelines to govern fraternity life.
