Fall 2008 Recruitment Events and Dates Listed Below!

Our Theme this year is Old Hollywood!

During recruitment week you can expect a lot of long hours, hard decisions, fun, and special moments.  Recruitment is a mutual selection process in which students and sororities together meet each other and make the friends that may soon become their sisters.

The following is a brief overview of each day.  Your Pi Chi will be available to provide you with more details and information.  However, the following information will give you the necessary facts to get you off to a good start for 2008 Recruitment.

 

Day One: Go Greek Night- Wednesday, September 3rd
Description: The first night of recruitment is Go Greek Night, where each potential member visits each of the six NPC chapters on campus to familiarize themselves with the different sororities.
Location: University Center 
Time: 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Events: 6 events, Each event lasts 20 minutes
Suggested Attire: Shorts and nice shirt

Day Two: Philanthropy Night- Thursday, September 4th 
Description: The second night of recruitment is Philanthropy Night.  Each chapter and the potential members work on a project that the chapters will give to their different philanthropies.
Location: University Center
Time: 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Events: 6 events, Each event lasts 30 minutes
Suggested Attire: Shorts and a nice shirt

Day Three: Sisterhood Night- Friday, September 5th
Description: The third night of recruitment is Sisterhood Night.  Each of the chapters has a slide show  that portrays their unique characteristics.
Location: University Center
Time:  5:30 pm to 10:00 pm
Events: 4 events, Each event lasts 1 hour
Suggested Attire: A comfortable dress, skirt or pants

 

 

Day Four: Preference Night- Saturday, September 6th
Description: Finally, the last night is Preference Night.  Each potential member attends two Preference Events.  This night is a very serious night, where potential members consider their final decision.
Location: Meet at University Center
Time: 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Events: 2 events, Each event lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes
Suggested Attire: A nice dress or pants suit you would wear to church, a wedding, or an awards banquet.

 

 

Bid Day: Sunday, September 7th

Description: On this day each potential member receives their acceptance card and becomes a member of one of the six NPC sororities.

Time: 1:30 pm

Suggested Attire: A t-shirt with jeans or jean skirt.

Parents Meeting:       August , 2007 at Towers Café 3pm-4pm and Riverboat Room UC 5pm-6pm

Over $55,000 in charity donations and thousands of hours of community service!  Join current members to learn about the Southeast Greek experience being different from “Animal House”.  Greek leaders will explain the benefits, costs, and housing associated with fraternities and sororities and answer questions you may have.  Refreshments will be provided.

Sorority Meetings:  Women interested in participating in sorority recruitment must complete and submit a registration form.  Forms will be online beginning July 1.  There is no fee to participate in recruitment.  To learn more in person, attend one of the following informational meetings:
